SSC CGL 2019-20 exam notification released: check exam dates, vacancies and tips to crack the exam

As per the SSC CGL 2019 official notification, SSC (Staff Selection Commission) will hold Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam 2019-20 for filling up several Group “B” and Group “C” posts in different ministries/offices/departments of Govt. of India. The SSC CGL exam 2019 has a 4-Tier system in which Tier 1 and Tier 2 are computer-based, while in Tier 3 and Tier 4, job applicants have to take up a descriptive paper and a computer proficiency test or skills test and the document verification.

The entire process of registration and communication will be online and applicants are required to qualify each phase of CGL exam to move on to the next level, before the final selection.

SSC CGL examination dates
The SSC CGL 2019 examination dates have been published on the official CGL notification dated 22 October 2019. According to this notification:

  • Application process start date is: 22 October 2019
  • Last date to apply is: 25 November 2019
  • Last date for making online fee payment and generation of offline challan is: 27 November 2019
  • Last date for payment through challan is: 29 November 2019
  • Tier 1 exam date for SSC CGL 2019: 2nd March to 11th March 2020
  • Tier 2 and Tier 3 (DES) exam date: 22nd June to 25th June 2020
  • Tier 4 exam – Will be notified later

What is SSC CGL 2019 exam eligibility?
Before applying for any post, candidates must check the eligibility criteria. Only those candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be allowed to appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria for the exam is as follows:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan.
